Hamilton Sinkler was founded by British-American twin brothers Rob and Ash Suri, as the Hamilton Decorative Collection. The company was incorporated in New York City in 2001. The Suri brothers studied building technologies and mechanical engineering in London. They emigrated to New York City after their studies - ideal for directing the exacting standards required for designing and manufacturing Hamilton Sinkler hardware. Today, Rob is our managing director. Ash continues to assist Hamilton Sinkler at an executive level, while leading one of New York's most prestigious luxury home builders and renovators. In 2008, Chris Burch, an icon of Manhattan’s luxury apparel scene, joined as partner. In honor of his recently deceased mother, the company's name was changed by adding her name 'Sinkler.' Chris' fundamental understanding of the luxury market made a key influence on the direction of designs and overall direction of Hamilton Sinkler.
